![]() ![]() Shiao said LONGi was actively working with the US’ Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency in regards to both the Hoshine WRO and UFLPA in order to demonstrate that its products are compliant with the US’ import laws, ensuring reliable and timely deliveries to its clients. “We are looking at the trade rules that are implemented in any of the countries that we’re working in and we are adhering to them.” “We have a very strong adherence to global compliance on the force labour side and we have a strict code of conduct,” says Shiao. Key to meeting this demand in a US context, however, is ensuring that LONGi’s supply chains are compliant with the country’s import restrictions such as the Uyghur Forced Labour Prevention Act (UFLPA) and the Withhold Release Order (WRO). Declining to say how long the company is booked out for, Shiao said: “we have quite a lot of capacity and quite a lot of demand.” Shiao said these expansions, as well as other planned buildouts outside of China, would help service that rising customer demand. And last month it said it would increase the planned production capacity of a new ingot and wafer project from 20GW to 46GW. In March 2022, LONGi announced it was to add 20GW of monocrystalline silicon wafer capacity, 30GW of high efficiency solar cell capacity and 5GW high efficiency solar module capacity in Inner Mongolia’s Ordos City. “We are already a leading supplier to the market but how do we continue to grow with our customers?” asks Shiao. “But with the IRA, we’re seeing a tonne of demand as people’s pipelines are expanding multiple times over and they’re looking for supplies from us.” ![]() “It’s definitely been a rocky few years with a pandemic,” says MJ Shiao, LONGi’s head of business development. That insight was provided to PV Tech at the RE+ trade show in Anaheim, California last month, where LONGi also launched its new Hi-MO 5 54c monofacial and bifacial modules for North America’s residential and commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors. LONGi Solar is experiencing soaring demand for its products as the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) turbocharges the US’ PV sector and is actively working to comply with the country’s import restrictions to ensure customer deliveries. In the below example the module that is created in the above snippet is imported using the import statement. The import statement is used to import variables and functions exported by an module into the script that plans on using it.Īny tag in HTML wanting to import a module needs have the attribute type="module". Using a Javascript Module inside a Module Script Tag this has no "export" prefixed hence cannot be used outside this module These variables and functions have the export statement prefixed to them. Creating a ModuleĪ module allows only specific variables and functions to be accessed outside it. ![]() With this, JavaScript codes can be divided into modules which then can be imported as and when required. With Web Applications gaining prominence, the need to be able to manage the code better led to modules. Other sections of the module cannot be accessed. However unlike a normal Javascript file, a module can specify which variables and functions can be accessed outside the module. Importing modules cannot be done in a normal script tag. However when we want to use Javascript modules in our HTML code, we need to do that within a tag. Javascript modules are newly added in Javascript to help give a "modular" structure to an application. It may be importing other Javascript module(s) inside it and becomes a "top-level" module for the imported modules. A script tag having type="module" attribute specifies that it to be considered as a Javascript module. ![]()
